In the selection ballot for Eastgate candidates, of the 89 members eligible to vote, 32 returned voting papers, a response of 36% Some voted only for one candidate (presumably the one standing in their own ward) while others voted for more than one.
The votes cast were
Jim Maynard (St Bartholomew) - 26
John Higgins (St John and All Saints) - 23
Tony Ayres (St Michael) - 28
The above named have, therefore, been selected as Lib Dem candidates in the wards named.
I am extremely grateful to all who went to the trouble (and expense) of voting.
